We partnered with Dream Impact’s ESG Innovation Lab to introduce the edutainment comedy show, “Things They Don’t Teach in School,” which aims to highlight gaps in the school curriculum in Hong Kong.
We combine stand-up comedy with elements of education to explore possibilities within the education system in Hong Kong.
Why change the impossible?
With the rise of AI, critical thinking and creativity have become more essential than ever for learners. Teachers will increasingly emphasize these skills to promote deeper understanding and enrich the learning experience. Additionally, exploring alternatives to improve mental health and financial literacy will be priorities in the future of education.
Teachers and comedians were invited to share their thoughts and personal stories on education, covering topics such as early childhood education and the primary school curriculum in Hong Kong. Why is Math important and relevant to our everyday life? Why were emotional boundaries missing in high school and secondary school programs? Participants were also invited to share their thoughts during a Q&A session, discussing what could be taught in the curriculum, including special education services and vocational education in Hong Kong, and what it means to be a life-learner.
