Spontaneity: Embracing the moment and trusting one’s instincts is key to improv. Students will practice exercises that encourage quick thinking and immediate responses.
Active Listening: Improv relies heavily on listening to and building off others’ ideas. Participants will engage in activities that highlight the significance of being present and responsive in a scene.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Improvisers must be willing to adjust their ideas and actions. Students will explore ways to pivot during scenes, enhancing their ability to adapt to changing dynamics.

Creating Believable Characters: Students will learn techniques for embodying characters through voice, physicality, and attitude, making their performances more engaging.
Structure of a Story: Understanding the arc of a story—beginning, middle, and end—will help students structure their scenes more effectively. They will practice crafting narratives spontaneously.
Imagining Scenarios: Exercises will encourage students to brainstorm imaginative settings and situations, allowing them to develop rich environments for their characters.

Finding the Funny: Participants will learn how to identify humor in everyday situations and transform mishaps into comedic moments.
